Soap maker, mythology nerd, and the heart behind Gilded Shimmer Soaps

Gilded Shimmer Soaps is a small-batch, handmade soap shop where storytelling meets skincare. Every bar is inspired by a character — from the gods of Olympus to the courts of Prythian — because I believe the things we
love should be part of our everyday lives.

I started making soap about ten years ago when my family was on a tight budget and I needed to get creative. What began as a practical solution quickly became a passion — there's something almost magical about
turning simple oils into something beautiful that people actually use and love.

In 2020, I closed my sewing shop on Etsy and went all in on soap. Around the same time, I started sharing my process on TikTok — soap-making videos mixed with Greek mythology stories — and found a community of people who loved both just as much as I did.

My obsession with mythology goes all the way back to 2nd grade, when I first learned about the constellations and the stories behind them. I was hooked. That childhood wonder never really went away, and it's exactly why every soap I make is named after a character. When you hold a Rhysand bar or an Achilles bar, I want you to feel a little piece of that world in your hands.

Every bar is handmade in small batches using skin-loving oils and long-lasting fragrance. Because I make everything myself, no two batches are exactly alike — and I think that's part of the charm.
